Thomas Emlyn was born screaming on August 7th 2011 at 7:42am weighing 6lbs 8.5oz.

Our rainbow baby is safe and well

I had a very traumatic pregnancy. After 2 years of trying to conceive I finally fell pregnant after 1 miscarriage and 2 chemical pregnancies. At 14 weeks my waters ruptured and my amniotic fluid remained low throughout the rest of my pregnancy. I was told that if I got to 24 weeks I would have a stillborn.

I had 12 scans, weekly appointments and I was even offered induction (which I turned down) and despite everything Thomas was born 3 DAYS OVERDUE.

He shares his birthday with his father and we cannot believe how blessed we are to be parents to such a beautiful little boy (there will be lots of pictures in my gallery - none are probably 'artistic' but they are precious to me).

Thomas is 3 weeks and 5 days old now but he's not had a very good start in life. He was in hospital at 2 weeks old with Sepsis (a blood infection). He had to have a cannula in his hand to administer antiobiotics and a lumbar puncture in his spine (very big needle ). He was very poorly and ther was a lot of talk of meningitis but thankfully our little man has got better and is now perfectly happy and healthy.

He currently weighs 8lbs.

I never knew what love was until they placed him in my arms.
