Update: My step father has just told me that they've arrested the murderer. Thank God.
I want to thank everyone for their unlimited support, you really don't know how much this means to me. With the murderer's arrest me and my family can now focus on grieving for John, then healing
At half past 7 this morning, John Derrick, 43, father and grandfather died of multiple stabwounds. He was attacked at 2am on his way to his mother's house. A group started on him and one of them stabbed him in the stomach and in the head. He was braindead before he got to the hospital.
Charlie had the phonecall at quarter to 5. He was in Bristol by half past 6. John was a loved member of my family and we are all saddened by his sudden and brutal death.
I can't find the right words to describe how I feel right now. Devastated and sick and probably amongst them.
The police know who did it - it was a family but the person who actually did the murder has done a runner.
If you're religious, and even if you aren't please spare a thought and some prayers for my family who are all devastated by this.
Today's features I dedicate to him.
Rest in peace John, we all love you and miss you.

Thank you hun, we're all incredibly shocked and devastated bt what's happened. We've read about and seen on the news the knife killing in London but we didn't ever expect to happen so close to home
